TourBook – Outdoor Logbook
Your personal outdoor logbook: 18 sports, offline, private, packed with stats.
Every tour, every summit, every route: in one place, on your phone, just for you.
TourBook is a logbook for everything you do outdoors. No community, no feed, no likes. Instead: every detail you will still want to read in ten years, and statistics down to the last detail.
Your data is yours
- No account, no ads, no tracking
- Everything lives on your device and works without a connection: logging, looking up, filtering, statistics
- Backup as a single file, automatically to a folder or to your own Google Drive
- One-time purchase, no subscription
- Should development ever stop, the app keeps working and your backup stays readable with standard tools: the archive format is openly documented
18 sports, each with the right fields
Hiking, scrambling, mountaineering, ski touring, ski mountaineering, snowshoeing, climbing, bouldering, ice climbing, mixed climbing, via ferrata, trail running, running, orienteering, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, cycling and paragliding.
Each sport asks only for what matters to it: SAC, UIAA, French and Font grades, via ferrata K1–K6, hiking T1–T6 and snowshoe WT1–WT6, pitches, ascent style and attempts, avalanche danger and snow conditions, flight type, races with your rank. Define your own attributes per sport.
A tour can have several legs: hike & fly, a ski tour with a summit climb, a bike approach to the crag.
Logged in seconds, kept tidy without effort
- Load a GPX file: distance, elevation gain, duration, summits, places and region are suggested
- Swiss peaks, places and huts are built in; offline packs cover the other Alpine countries
- Climbing areas, sectors and routes form your own database. Create a route once and find it again on every repeat.
- Partners, tags, photos, collections for trips and projects
- Duplicate a tour, get suggestions from your past entries, merge typos with one tap
- Easy start: import many recordings at once — GPX, FIT, TCX, IGC and Strava's data export
For stats nerds
- Totals per sport, year, season, month and weekday
- Year-over-year: where you stand today versus the same day last year
- Records: longest tour, most elevation, fastest ascent
- Distributions of distance, elevation, duration and grade
- Climbing stats: pitches, metres climbed, grade pyramid, hardest ascents, projects with their number of goes
- Races with rank and field size
- Peak lists: Swiss and Alpine 4000ers, Swiss canton high points, the highest summits of the Alpine countries, SAC huts and Swiss road passes
- Elevation profile with climb and descent rates, gradient and moving time
- One filter for everything: list, map and statistics show the same selection
Map
All your tracks on one map, with a heatmap and summit pins, on swisstopo or OpenStreetMap maps. The map itself needs a connection; elevation and peak packs work offline.
Who is it for?
For everyone who likes to look back: How many ski tours did I do this winter? Which 4000ers are still missing? When did I last climb that route, and with whom?
TourBook is available in English and German.
