TourBook
Your outdoor logbook

Testers wanted

TourBook is a private logbook for everything you do outdoors: from a T2 hike to a 7a multi-pitch, from a ski tour to a paragliding flight. Before the app goes to the Play Store, I am looking for people who try it in their everyday outings for two weeks.

Your outdoor logbook

Every tour with a track thumbnail, distance, elevation, duration and grade, grouped by month. The search finds places, areas, partners and routes.

Your outdoor logbook

Every tour, every detail

Map, figures, elevation profile, conditions and every pitch with its grade. Everything you will still want to read in ten years.

Every tour, every detail

All your tracks on one map

All tracks on swisstopo or OpenStreetMap maps, with a heatmap and peak pins. One filter applies to the list, the map and the statistics.

Areas, sectors, routes

Enter a route once and find it again on every ascent, with goes, style and pitches.

Which 4000ers are still missing?

No account. No ads. Your data.

Private and yours

No account, no ads, no tracking. Your tours stay on your phone and can be logged without a connection; only the map needs one.

18 sports

Each with its own fields and scales: SAC, UIAA, French, Font, K1–K6, avalanche level, flight type.

Quick to log

Load a GPX: distance, elevation, peaks and region are suggested. A route is entered once.

Stats galore

Year over year, records, grade pyramid, 4000er list, elevation profiles.

How the test works

  1. You need an Android phone (Android 7 or later) and a Google account.
  2. You get an invitation to the test in the Play Store and a code that makes the app free for you.
  3. From 0.1.0 on, your data is kept on every update; “TourBook Dev” can stay alongside.
  4. Keep the app installed for 14 days and log your tours; Google requires that before release.
  5. Tell me what you notice: bugs, wishes, anything unclear.
